Moving forward and putting positive thoughts out there to help further my journey. Made a few inquiries out to Colorado for maybe an excursion out there for a few months and also pondering taking a local course sometime this fall. Also designed my logo and label as well….1st run will be here in a couple of weeks. One of the perks of being a Warehouse Manager at a printing company…I am happy with the results. The initials in red forming a face with mustache were thought up by me many years ago in school and always stuck with me. Always incorporated it into any signings of artwork that I have done and other things over the years…glad to see it finally upon a finished label and now imagining it in neon on a garage shop window but like I always say, Lord willing….Peace, CCS
My website…
Although CCSDESIGNZ Speed Shop is an long going aspiration of mine that has not come to fruition as of yet, (Lord willing it does) PLEASE note that there are disclaimers throughout my website stating that my “business” is not a working entity. I sprinkle some factual events that have occurred on my path as well as relationships that I would love to form in order to supply the public and live out the content that I transparently express here….once it does come to fruition, (again I say, Lord willing) all fiction will be replaced with pertinent fact. This is why and what I stated in my first blog 3 years ago…I regret the fact that behind a misconception of said content, forward steps to getting closer to achieving a big part of my dream has somewhat been temporarily thrown off track but like stated, every journey will encounter rainy days as well as the sunny. The real test is what one does AFTER he or she has been knocked down….Peace CCS
Sept. 2020 - April 2021
Emotional Rollercoaster….veil lifted and closed. Time and experience definitely appreciated and cherished. Now said time will be missed. Journey will have rainy days as well….
Wheels down....
Well, I am back home now....I attended the week long seminar in Columbus, Ohio for TIG Welding, Engine/Chopper Building. My instructor was Chuck Sheridan and his company is called Redline Chopper School (soon to be Fox Motorcycle Institute) located in Williamsport about an hours drive from where my hotel was in Columbus. I flew in on Sunday the 15th and the class started on Monday the 16th. I drove out there and realized quickly that it was a very rural area. I was surrounded with corn, soybean and wheat crops. In my anticipation of the week ahead, I arrived much earlier than expected, (habit of mine) and was immediately concerned that there were no commercial signage telling me that I was in the right place. Across the street was a soybean crop and the long brick building next to the grain silo (in which I was to do my learning) had a radio on thereby adding to the confusion that I had made the right decision. Once Chuck finally showed up and all concerns were relieved, we jumped in. He discussed TIG welding for a bit and he had me jump in immediately. I had no prior experience but he conveyed precise and concise info that had me convinced that I too can become a welder. We welded all day doing practical exercises...day 2 and 3 were engine breakdown we worked on Harley Evo engine. Days 4 and 5 covered the chopper assembly and after that, I gained experience that far exceeded the Chopper College seminar that I attended in Chicago years ago. Chuck is a great teacher and now, a good friend...I will keep in contact with him for future builds and endeavors. I am glad that our paths have crossed. Until the next entry, Peace. CCS
Wheels Up...
In a couple of weeks I will be furthering my education by attending a week long seminar in Ohio. This course will have me getting into Welding, Motorcycle Engine Breakdown and more Chopper Assembly. Can't wait....Hopefully, I will be able to go down to Florida to learn about the Spectra Chrome so that can be added to the mix. (no pun intended) Still working on trying to get my beans together to attend the Hot Rod Institute in South Dakota as well....all donations will be greatly appreciated. lol Until then, Peace. CCS
The Dream Continues...
Well here is my first entry here....today feeling good and accomplished. Bought my domain name, www.ccsdesignzspeedshop.com and signed up here at Squarespace for a year. This makes me feel like I am getting closer to my dream coming to fruition. Only thing though, I have to wait 60 days until I can link up my domain name to my site because right now I am not feeling the domain name associated with my site here...."shallot-turtle, blah blah blah...." I was like WTF? It has nothing to do with CCS or Designz for that matter....Oh well, I just have to wait. I have been waiting this long already....Plus I have been helping a very special woman work on her site here on Squarespace as well. It pretty much given me the experience to finally pull the trigger on creating my own. Her site is www.repbling.com and we have been revamping and relaunching hers as well. Been finalizing my site tonight adding more pics and was kind of concerned about having it go live when my garage isn't in existence yet so some of the info is fictitious, some factual and some aspirations that haven't yet happened hence I put a disclaimer in so as not to have anyone misled. Hope you all like and will be talking to you as this rocket begins to take off....until then, Peace. CCS
